This story is tremendously emotional. Sale and Loeb show us just how important Gwen Stacy was to Peter Parker, and the hole her death left in his heart. This page near the end of the story pulls on the heart strings. I have a lot of respect for Mary Jane. She isn’t jealous and accepts that Peter will always love Gwen, and Gwen will always be an important part of their lives. Man… the feels…
